Kombucha Starter Cultures (aka: SCOBY or Symbiotic Colony of Bacteria and Yeast) plus kombucha liquid provides everything you need to kick start your own, home-brewed batches of fermented tea, otherwise known as kombucha. WATER KEFIR STARTER CULTURE (starter “grains”)
Water kefir is a symbiotic culture of bacteria and yeast referred to collectively as water kefir grains. When mixed with sugar-water, water kefir grains convert sugars into beneficial acids such as lactic acid and acetic acid. The result of this is a healthy, tasty and effervescent beverage – a Water Kefir Soda -- that is loaded with probiotics, enzymes, amino acids, vitamins and minerals. It is easy to make your own at home, and with care water kefir grains will grow and multiply, offering many opportunities to experiment with flavoring.
